My thanks to the management and staff mothers – and all others – who make the Minnesota Veterans Home Hastings (MVH) a home for many. Over my 16 year residency here I have seen professionalism in what you do, sincerity and helpfulness. You have a difficult job.

The MVH population is of vastly varying backgrounds and ages. Many are 20 years younger than I and have a lot of life ahead of them but need assistance dealing with illness, addiction, depression and other conditions to which veterans are particularly vulnerable.
With 3 more homes on the horizon in Bemidji, Montevideo and Preston, adding to the existing 5 vets homes in the state, Minnesota is at the forefront of services and health care for its military veterans.
